We are in our 50s, empty nesters with two Boxers, living in one of our small rental houses while our next house is under construction. We needed something to sit on to watch TV and considered purchasing a couch from for $399 (their cheapest couch). The RTA couches were on sale at for $245.63 (this includes free shipping and tax) each. Rye Brown was the cheapest color so we went with Rye Brown. They arrive quickly (quicker than originally indicated) and in unimaginable small boxes. Hubby put them together very quickly. Couches look truly awesome and come with two very nice pillows (a surprise). The seat area is very cushy and wide enough to support the knees. The backrest does not go up very high and therefore, the neck is not supported enough for me to be long-term comfortable. For that one reason, these will not become our main couch in the new house. The fabric is soft and feels durable and well-constructed. They are very comfortable for the short term.
They are dog tested! Our two Boxers LOVE the couches -- No complaints from Obie and Petunia. These couches look and feel much nicer than $245 (that is why we bought two). The couches have a 500 pound (250 per side) weight limit. That is not an issue for us just adding it in the interest of being thorough. Now for the one bad thing about our purchase...one of the couches has a wonky leg. It was not wonky when my husband put them together, it occurred after a couple days of use. I have done nothing to investigate to see if this is an easy fix or not. I do not want to discourage anyone from buying the cough – just felt I should tell the whole story. I have included a picture. It might be easy to remedy -- it might be a defect that cannot be fixed. I do not know. The reason I gave the couches 5 stars is that for $245, these couches ROCK. Love them. We will not use them in the next house as our main couch but one will go in the guest room -- our kids are already arguing about who gets the other couch when we move in March. If the couches were full price, the 5 stars would be a close call not because of looks, but because of the neck support issue. I am including pics of the couches as well as the one with the wonky leg. We covered the couches with blankets to keep the dog hair/dirt issue under control (you can see the blanket in the wonky leg picture). If you are looking for a plush, good-looking couch for a very cheap price, this is your couch.
Great couch. Ive had it for over 2 years now. It was a very large box, and took a bit of figuring-out to assemble. Its pretty sturdy, and moving it to a new apartment was pretty easy. Manageable with one person, even. My only complaint it that because the back support is hollow, it can be a little harder than a solid couch. The size is perfect for smaller apartments and studios, and it doesnt show any visible signs of wear, even though Ive had it for a few years now. Very great deal for the price.
This loveseat was just fine for what we needed it for (to put in a smallish space in an upstairs spare room). Given the price, Id rate it as an excellent value. The shipping box is about 100 pounds and a little too bulky and heavy for one person to get up stairs. But not worries. Just unpack it and carry the pieces up individually. The assembly was not difficult and I put it together in about 30 minutes. I would like to point out that the color is more greenish (as pictured in the consumer reviews) as opposed to the light beige in the manufacturers picture. Otherwise I would have given it five stars for the price.
Today we received the RTA Copenhagen Loveseat in the Marzipan color. Overall, the couch was easy to put together as it took hubby dearest about 45 minutes to put everything together. The enclosed directions were acceptably good he said. One thing he noted, and hes an engineer, was the couch had been pre-assembled to make sure everything lined up. He says the bolts showed signs of the couch being pre-assembled. We both appreciated this quality control check as there is nothing worse than trying to figure how to line something up that doesnt match or is missing a key part. I wont mention any brand names but a popular well-known furniture chain has been known to cause some angst when it comes assembling furniture as sometimes the furniture pieces dont quite line up right or they are missing a key bolt for example.
We did find it helpful to have a spare couple hands to line up the back of the couch material as the loose couch backing is held down by Velcro strips found at the bottom of the loveseat. As to the cushions: We had little problems inserting the cushion stuffing. Again, an extra pair of hands to hold the zipper in place really helped when zipping up the cushions.
As to quality: This is not an expensive couch so you will not find any expensive touches. In fact, the cushion bottoms and the back of the couch are lined with black silky fabric. The couch cushions and upholstery are made of a soft microfiber-type fabric. The color Marzipan is a light natural beigey brown. Id almost call the color light mushroom. The color is a lovely neutral and would make an excellent background for almost any color when it comes to decorative touches. I plan to use
Im very pleased with this couch. The box was bigger and heavier than I imagined, even though I had read the reviews and measurements of the box. It is literally the size of half of a couch. The poor UPS guy who had to lug it up 3 flights of stairs...
All of the pieces are puzzled into the box perfectly. I did have to tip the box to its side to slide the large pieces out as I was putting it together.
The two bottom cushions were the only things vacuum packed, and I opened them up to let them expand while I assembled the couch.
Assembly was simple and straight forward. Very easy to do alone, and I am 56 and 110lbs.
The cushions were very easy to fit into the covers, if you can put a pillow into a pillow case, you can fit the cushions into the covers. I had read people talking about how you cannot flip the cushions, so I did take a photo of the bottom of the cushion covers. The back cushions are the same - you cannot flip them, but I do love that you can take the covers off. The back cushions also have a strip of velcro on them, and there is a strip of velcro on the seat back to keep the back cushions upright.
The smell is not horrible, its very similar to memory foam mattress topper and has already faded quite a bit at the 24 hour mark. I ordered the 73 couch but it only measures 71.75. The fabric is lighter in color than it appeared on site. (I ordered the Marzipan.)
The cushions are firm, but have softened up some even after just 24 hours.
All in all, it was well worth the price I paid, and if youre on the fence about it, just go for it!
I was sceptical about a couch you had to put together yourself, but thought for the price I would go for it. The packaging was amazing, Really quite ingenious. Bottom line I love it. Its made well and looks beautiful in my family room. If youre on the edge, buy it.

We bought this couch looking for an inexpensive option. We havent found our dream sectional yet so this was our work around until we do. We could not be happier. Shipping was quick! Came in one box and the way it is to assemble takes less than 20 minutes. No tools required. It is extremely comfortable! It sits low to the ground which is great for young children. Definitely worth the price! Product is true to color and the cushion covers do come off the be washed. Overall highly satisfied.
It is very comfortable, not too soft but not too firm, it looks beautiful for the price, it was very easy to assemble, the head of the huge screw that comes with it was broken, but it didnt affect the assembly. Im very satisfied with my first couch.

Nice couch for smaller people
Nice for napping but I have to remove the back pillows to have enough space to comfortably lie down.
