So I got very worried when I saw that it came in pieces. But.... the way it snaps together is really nifty. I felt like it's advanced technology for putting together. It did take me time but I'd say just put on your favorite play list or podcast amd have at it.
This arrived 4 days a head of schedule - GREAT!
It was amazingly easy to put together. Great instructions and they actually include an extra of each of the hardware screws just in case you lose one during assembly. Took less than an hour to assemble.
Two concerns I have.
No 1. Wish they would include 4 locking wheels. The unit still moves are a with little effort on our smooth laminate flooring in our kitchen. I can live with this though.
No 2. And this is possibly more of an issue. The drop leaf is not very sturdy! I may have to reinforce will a couple addition braces of my own creation. If you we to accidentally leaned on it, I'm not sure it will hold much weight. I'll probably replace the hinge screws with something stronger. A better design would have been slide bars. The overall unit gets 4 stars but the drop-leaf gets 2 stars.
Lastly - Not an issue with the product but be aware. Have your vacuum ready as the styrofoam packing material, at least in my package, was breaking down and made a huge mess when I unboxed. I'll be cleaning up little white styrofoam balls for weeks.
I absolutely LOVE this island!! Very sturdy, looks like it should last. No it isn't a solid wood built one, but I feel it is very nice for what it is and the price point. It doesn't feel flimsy at all. Castors roll smoothly. Drawers roll nice. Lots of room. Love that I can flip the back down to give us more room in the kitchen when not in use. It so helpful that the hardware packages and cabinet pieces were all labeled very clearly and assembly was a breeze! Very nice setup!
I love this thing. It provides so much extra storage and counter space, and looks great. I absolutely love that I can fold it down to reduce the footprint in my kitchen. I've had this for about a year and it's held up really well, especially considering how much I've used it.

Dad liked what I got for him.
Purchased it for my dad and assembled it for him. It went together really easy and seems durable. My dad was happy with it.
