I love the storage !! I have all of casserole dishes underneath and to go containers. I store my coffees and teas and to go mugs. Its a beverage bar for me !! Cappuccino , coffee , tea. !! I love it and its on wheels !!
I still like this island, BUT the drawers are terrible - it is such a pain to put them back in without the drawers falling. I try to use them as little as possible. The leaf does not stay up because the back that support is is too thin and does not hold the weight. I guess you get what you pay for.
It takes a minimum of two persons to put most of the parts that are pre-tooled in place because of the weight of the piece. It also was missing certain small drilled holes in at least three parts of the assembly including the butcherbox top. The instructions were a help but you had to provide the craftsman small phillips screwdriver to really do the trick with the very small wood screws. And, as for easy to flip clamps that was a joke. My fingers, my sisters' were not strong enough in the majority of cases to flip the clamp, it took a hard tool from my toolbox to squeeze, hammer it without breaking anything. I do like the piece very much however once it has been done and it is the perfect storage for my appliances that will not fit on my kitchen shelves. (And it doesn't obstruct the walkway from the kitchen area.
Annoying to put together - took a couple of hours and the packaging was filled with tiny pieces of styrofoam that got everywhere. The instructions and labels on the parts were mostly helpful.
I am so happy with this purchase, given how much it costs. It looks great, all of the pieces are intact and functional, and it adds a really great look to my kitchen!

The custom fasteners they have to hold things together is terrible. Some people here said they were easy, but mine they were very tough to press closed (I'm a pretty big guy). With the amount of screws you have to drive in anyways, they should have just drilled pocket holes and used screws to hold everything together.
Those custom fasteners are also what holds the top to the base, and makes the top a structural component. So if you're thinking of replacing the top with something nicer, it'll take a little bit of work.
The top is also undersized and/or too close to the cupboard doors on the front. There's no room to scrape crumbs off and catch them without opening the cupboards.
The cupboard doors should have had the knobs installed on the top, not the middle. The magnets holding it closed are at the top anyways, and it's less convenient to bend over farther to open the door when you only need to retrieve something from the top shelf.
The drawer slides are sloppy, but you can't expect much for this price level.

Love the design, hate the quality.

I was happily surprised at the quality of this cabinet. Even made my wife happy and that's not easily done!

Easy to follow directions. No problems with assembly. Nice and sturdy.

It fir perfectly in my small open kitchen. Size just right what I needed. Was easy to put together due to good explanation from the book.
