Nice island for the price BUT the length is not 53…… the wooden top is a little over 44. Description is a little misleading because they added the extra 6 for the paper towel and towel hangers. Overall, drawers are deep and shelves hold a lot of items. I had it professionally assembled and very happy with this item!
This is a nice looking piece, but it was a chore to put together. And for this price, I would expect the pieces to line up perfectly. They don't. Would not purchase again or recommend to others.
10 months later and I am still loving this piece! I had to have a friend put it together who is very meticulous about assembling things but otherwise the sturdy, has lots of storage space… Its storage space will surprise you and I was afraid to use the top at first but it turns out to be very sturdy to against knife marks etc. I clean mine all the time with Clorox clean-up and it has the minimal marks youd expect of a good cutting board.
This was surprisingly easy to assemble. I was pretty intimidated by all of the parts that came in the box once I pulled them all out. It seemed like it would probably take me quite a while to build it but I put it together in about three hours by myself. It turned out to be a really nice piece of furniture actually. Its very solid and sturdy and certainly is appealing to the eye and the cabinet doors and drawers work very smoothly and nicely. You dont even have to line up the cabinet doors are already set perfectly so all you have to do is slide the doors on and theyre already perfectly aligned. All you have to do is attach the magnet behind it so they stay shot. I love it. Probably one of the best furniture items I have purchased that I have had a sum of myself.
It wasn't as bad to assemble but it took hours and I did it by myself. The only issue I had was tightening the locks. The leaf isn't as sturdy as I like but it's exactly what I need for a small kitchen. Love the storage
I was originally intimidated by all the parts and pieces when I opened the box, but I was actually able to put it together in no time. It took 2 hours start to finish to complete it. The directions were easy to follow, and it came with all tools necessary along with extras in case pieces go missing. It is incredibly sturdy, and the drawers are deep and spacious. This was a great buy.
To be honest I was a little overwhelmed at first with all the pieces it came with at first but I procrastinated longer than it took to put together lol. It was actually pretty easy and the step by step instructions were very easy to read. It came with an extra screw for each screw bag and all the bags were labeled to match the instructions. It took me about 1.5 hours to put together but well worth it. I was proud of myself that I didnt mess it up lol
First of all, I'm a woman pushing 74 and was able to put this together by myself. Took me some time but directions were very concise and everything lined up perfectly. I decided to not attach the rack due to space limitations. In order to fill in the 6 holes on that side, used MinW color matched wood filler in white. Once dried, it matched perfectly. No sanding or painting needed. Absolutely love the sturdiness and storage capacity. No problems with leaf drooping when extended. Well worth the money.
There were lots of scratches on the front facing pieces. The top where the back folds down has a long splinter. The cabinet doors do not sit evenly bc the hinges are not even. See pic. One of the drawers Is also uneven. The color seems more gray in person. We would return it if it werent such a hassle. Extremely heavy piece., had to move with dolly.
