Back and foot rest move independent of each other. Comfortable., battery backup.

This is easy to put together, a little tough getting the little sides of the back to slide on, but not bad. The electrical parts of the recliner can only fit one way, so you cant mess that up. There is battery back up, so if there is a power outage, you can even move the chair from reclined to lift with the power of 2 ( not included 9 volt batteries) The chair is comfortable, and is probably best for someone on the tall side. My 5 foot tall mother/in/ laws feet dont touch the ground when she sits, but it will be perfect for my 6 foot father in law. The chair reclines with a remote that is attached to the right side if the chair and stays in the pocket on the side when not in use. The back can raise and lower to flat. The foot rest can raise and lower independent of the backrest. The footrest does not raise above level. The leather looks good, the material is soft and comfortable. The lift portion moves slowly, but to me is a comfortable slow.

    for people 59 or shorter.

I wish I could recline the back without lifting the feet. It sits up straight which is great for eating but needs to lean back more for comfort. Its a glider rocker so it never leans back or rocks back. I like rocking back.

    Not as comfortable as anticipated

When I googled most comfortable recliner and best for tall men, this model kept appearing, not necessarily first but competitive. Sadly I dont find it very comfortable after a week of use. The seat feels quite hard, not sink/in soft. And as for tall, my legs dangle over the footrest further than on my older, less expensive recliner which was my go to chair for sleeping. Doubt that this will be a truly sleep chair. So disappointed on comfort level. But appearance is fine, price well below same chair if bought from store (about 200 less, delivered). Motors quiet. Extra 20 for in room delivery well worth it. Was a tad concerned about buying such an item on line, but the price and delivery process was absolutely excellent.

    Leg lift problem

Fast delivery, packaged well, and easy assembly. My disappointment was that the leg lift did not have the ability to bring my legs the height of the seat. It leaves the legs in a dropped position. For a chair advertised as an elderly chair this is a disappointment because older people very often do suffer from swelling in legs and ankles, and having them very elevated is very important. I am trying to find a way to help my swollen ankles by putting a pillow on the leg rest or possibly a lift block under the front feet of the chair.

    Excellent Chair

This is a high quality chair. My mom uses it daily and it is exactly what she needed for help after her stroke. She has used the chair for about a month and loves it.

    Worth the cost!

Very comfortable, plush padding and great value! I only removed a star for sturdiness. At 65 when you raise your legs up to recline, it wont hold in a locked position and your legs go down. Works for me at 59, just not my tall son!
