This bed is sturdy and very nice, but it is a PAIN to assemble. It had a big scratch when I took it out of the box and it was too late to return it because of how long it took to put together what we had already. My husband knows how to do everything and always puts things together for me, but this pissed him off! Really not any real instructions.
I love the simple look of this daybed. I wanted it to double as a sofa but was too high, so I sawed off legs. Sawed too much and was too low. Now, on bricks (lol). Anyway, its a nice product. I like it. One word of caution, however Have a swear jar handy before assembly
Packaged came damaged. Failed to check all pieces before assembling. Got to damaged piece and tears came to my eyes, I just knew I was going to have to return the whole thing for 1 damaged piece. Debated repairing but decided to call the manufacturer, they were helpful and expedited shipment on the damaged piece. My tears of dismay turned to tears of joy. One call and Im back in business. Thats why I will buy products from again. Bed is nice, but good customer service makes it spectacular. Will update with finished product.
Ive had this frame for a few months now and it is starting to chip and crack on the side pieces. The material on this frame is very cheap wood, hence the price of it, I kind of figured this would happen but the damage is only minor and can easily be repaired with some wood glue. The frame is fairly sturdy, though I would only recommend this for light weight people.
Assembly was easy and straightforward, I didnt really need to look at the manual to assemble the frame. Overall, I got what I paid for.
I love the way this bed looks, very nice. The pieces were all in good shape except for one of the little vertical cross bars on the back section had a splinter missing, but no biggie, I just faced the flaw towards the back, and it would be easy to paint if I needed. It was fairly easy to put together, took a couple hours. I needed help a couple times piecing the larger components together, but other than that did it all myself. I would suggest putting it together in its final location, as the final structure is a little flimsy, I wouldnt want to drag or push it around. I wouldnt recommend this as a bed for kids to jump around on, but for an adult its fine. The boards the mattress rests on seem strong.
