Way better than expected in every way.

For some context, we ordered the joybird Eliot sectional and ended up canceling our order after waiting 5 months with no updates. Decided to take a chance on the and bark Napa. We absolutely love it! It looks and feels better than we expected. Its firm but will break in over time Im sure. Other reviewers did comment on it coming with scratches and scuffs. Ours definitely came with both but I dont mind it. Its going to blend and wear over time. The leather feels high quality and so Im not too worried about scuffs and scratches. Ill probably condition with oil at some point though. Bottom and back cushions feel very firm. Ive heard they lose their volume over time, so well have to see how it ages over time. But, for the price compared to joybird (5k) and article (3.5k), Im beyond impressed. Edit: More than 1 year later and the cushions are holding up. Very little sag at all on the back or bottom.

    A great sofa purchase!!!!

We love this sofa! Its big! Its soft! Its beautiful! The leather is gorgeous....it shows scuffs and scratches but thats exactly the style I wanted. Maybe thats called patina? We have kids and pets and need leather that looks good as it is worn and enjoyed by the family. This is an awesome sofa. Ive never purchased a sofa without sitting on it. Its risky....but it paid off with and Bark! I dont really leave reviews but wanted to sing the praises of this product! Just a side note....we thought back pillows were too small when we first set up the sofa....but they expanded after a few days and now they fill the back completely. We love this sofa! Thank you for a great product!

    Didnt work out.

Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful looking couch but its description of a down layer is deceiving. Its not enough to make it a cozy couch. Its also not deep enough to snuggle into. Its great for an office or formal sitting room but not meant for a living room. I returned it and ended up getting something else. It was really easy to schedule the return but the headache of reboxing a sofa is something to keep in mind!

    Good quality and looks great

This is more beautiful than the picture. It is sturdy. It sits higher as the legs are a couple of inches. If you dont like the look of slightly worn though. Do not buy. Color is orange/brown. Update: We have dogs and they tend to scratch at the couch. I wiped off the scratches with leather cleaner but I would suggest keeping them off if possible. It looks as though eventually it could go through.

    Strong chemical and musty odors

We really liked the look and comfort of our 88.5 Napa sofa that we purchased directly from PB. However, it off-gassed strong chemical and musty odors during the entire three weeks we had it. The off-gassing caused burning in my wifes and my eyes and back of throats. I am an occasional migraine suffer - usually about four per year, but I had 9 migraines during the 21 days we had the sofa, starting with the second day that it was in our house. We moved the sofa out of our house for good a few days ago, and I have not had any migraines. Much of the time, we had the components airing outside, but to no avail. The back cushions and bolsters had a slight leather smell, which was just fine. But the bottom yellow foam layer in the seat cushion smelled like oil and a similar odor mixed with a musty smell came from inside the right side of the sofa. Customer service has been great regarding returning the item. It gets picked up tomorrow, and I trust we will receive a timely refund. I am amazed that in the hundreds of reviews I read on PBs website, , Yelp and Facebook, no one else had the odor issue. Same with competitors that sell nearly identical Vietnamese sofas for higher prices like Article. I think we just got unlucky with one this one. PBs policy allows for only one totally free return of a similar product (i.e. sofa), so we will not take a chance with getting a replacement. This entire gas-off issue has us very concerned about buying another foreign made piece of furniture from not only PB but any of its competitors. Maybe we will just have to pay the big bucks for a sofa made in USA or Canada. The only one of the same style as the Napa that I found is more than twice the price, so we will likely get a different style.

    So in love!

Absolutely love this couch! I wanted to wait a few months and see how it held up. I have a large dog who climbs all over it and I must say this couch is holding up great! Its the perfect size and color and so very comfortable! Its also super light weight and comes in two pieces so very easy to assemble and move around!

    An apotheosis of perfection!

Let me recapitulate whats others have enumerated: I spent weeks and weeks researching couches.—and excogitating on the pros and cons of what I was seeing. And put as succinctly as possible: I kept returning to the Napa in Cognac from . It looked amazing....and the near unanimous praise for this style couch was awfully convincing. And yes: the price point was certainly the final selling point that pushed me to make the purchase. As I saw it(and still do): what do I have to lose? I live in CA so my shipping was simple and stress free....and they were there within the time frame and easily got the box in my house. A breeze. As for assembly....joyously so simple! Take out of the big box, lie on the back, and assemble the legs. Thats it! 6 minutes at most. Talk about stress free. Leather truly feels amazing—and not as sticky as some of my previous leather couches. And it feels study...yet comfortable. But again: the true test will be time. One will just have to relax, read, lounge and soak in the passing of the years with elegiac reverie. And hopefully after a few years, and with the glowing rush of this new purchase long gone and vitiated, one call still bellow out with vociferous glee this simple refrain: IT WAS WORTH IT. We shall see. For now, and only after a few days, I can say that delivered in spades. And that I am unabashedly pleased with my Napa couch.

    Butter against your skin

I was apprehensive to make such an expensive purchase site unseen. However, d/t COVID every furniture store I went to had dismal selections and not at all what I was looking for. I came across this sofa on and later researched it further on the and Bark website and decided to take the plunge knowing I could return it If unhappy. I LOVE this couch! Its like butter against the skin, so soft and a beautiful color. I was unsure of what I would think of the color once in my home, but the lighter color looks great in my living room against the dark flooring. I cant say anything yet as to its durability but so far, I LOVE it.
