Purchased for my kids ages 8 and 3. I had MAJOR delays in shipping, was actually lost for awhile in a warehouse midway. However, pulled through and got it shipped via another company. The bed itself is solid and well built but you will want a bunkie board or piece of plywood for the top. I like the ladder, my 3 year old managed it safely. I wish the top rail were a little taller and sturdier, as my older boy was afraid he was going to roll over it and off at first. However, I put a toddler bed rail on the bottom and you could add one on top as well if you're worried. The bed height is like a loft bed. The bottom bed is basically on the floor. My only dislike is that head clearance on the bottom bunk if very short, so there is a possibility for older children and adults to hit their head getting in and out of bed, or even sitting up too far.
I would have given this product 5 stars if assembly was easier. The assembly was absolutely horrifying! My husband and I spent nearly four hours trying to put this together! Besides the assembly, this bunkbed is amazing. I love how the bottom bunk sits on the floor because my kids room is very small. They are also 3 and 5 years old, so I was not worried about my smallest falling out of bed.
We got this in June. It took a few hours to put together. The upper rail is not that secure. In fact, my 5 year old leaned on the rail, it came off, and he fell. Thankfully he only had a slight bump on his head. It could have been much worse. We will be adding additional screws/wood glue to make sure it doesn't happen again.
This is a well made bed - perfect for my two young boys. Assembly was really easy, my husband put it together within 2 hours - I was hesitant because some reviews said the guard rail on the top bunk isn't sturdy...but it is very sturdy - we didn't need to reinforce it at all. So glad I purchased this bunk bed!
I love, love this bed! Its so sturdy and I especially like that the screws have white on the heads of them. Most of the beds we looked at have shiny, silver screws that make the beds look cheap. The ladder is removable and you can choose which side to place it. We also went with this bed over others, because each bed holds up to 400 lbs. I am very pleased with this bunk and our girls love it.
this bed recommends children 6 or older only on top bunk...It arrived quickly...and the assembly took some patience but the finished product is very nice...sturdy...and not too high....bottom bunk is a great place for younger children . This bed had a label saying it was made in Vietnam... every piece was there...and every piece of hardware ...It is a soft pine wood....but very sturdy and I am delighted with finished product. I bought 6 inch mattresses and they fit perfectly.

Sturdy and Safe
Awesome bed! Great for our almost 4yr old on top and 2yr old on bottom. Sturdy! Not too high up. Safe ladder design. Nice looking finished wood.
Rail not secure
