I ordered 6 of these chairs in black for my front porch and chose this particular chair because of the recycled material and it stated it folded, so I am disappointed that it doesnt easily fold (to fold you would have to remove 2 plastic pins and 2 bolts on each side, then reassemble which I dont think anyone would do to take this chair somewhere for an afternoon). I guess the folding feature would be used if you were to move, but that would be about it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble each chair from their boxes, with a rubber mallet and wrench of my tools and the little allen wrench provided. There is some flexibility in the chairs, but I believe it is just that type of material, it is the same type as my porch floor and it also was before building the porch, but has been extremely durable. They are also a bit on the small side, as we have bigger people in my family, but overall they are pretty nice, just wish they were a couple inches taller and maybe an inch wider, which some other brands are. My seven year old daughter sat in one, and it fit her comfortably, I am 5ft 9 and thought the seat and backrest could have been longer. I like that this model does not show the screws as much as some other brands of chairs, these are painted black, and often inserted from the back so you dont see at all. They are also pretty heavy, which in my mind is a good thing, as we are on a hill and with them being so low to the ground, hopefully they wont blow off. For the price, I would recommend. They look really really nice, looking forward to using them over the years.
We bought two for our back patio. The instructions were easy to follow and all hardware and parts were marked for fairly easy assembly. And the only reason that I said fairly easy is because there were a few predrilled holes didnt line up. I just redrilled which was no big deal but might be for others. As others said they are not heavy duty chairs but they are still fairly sturdy and are a great buy for the money. I also like the fact that they are not so heavy and that they fold up for easier winter storage.
I like the look and character of this chair. However, assembly is hard if you are not a DIYer. My hubby asked the help of our son to hold the pieces in the right place. The holes were not aligned that he has to create new holes to assemble it correctly or evenly. But when it was assembled, to my eyes they are perfect. Comfy to sit in but I prefer to put cushion for my butt.
We ordered 2 of these. I love everything about them. They are so much better than the wood ones we had previously. We bought those at bed, bath and beyond and they fell apart after a couple years. These are thick, sturdy plastic. I am not worried at all about them falling over!! I do recommend a pillow for the small of your back. We absolutely love them!! We got the grey colored and they are beautiful!!
Great color (got the gray) although I may have gone with a brighter option so theyd pop more in our shaded lawn. Super heavy and durable feeling but will store for winter. They look great a slightly updated traditional style. Large but not enormous like traditional wood ones.
The armrests are faded and a different color than the rest of the chair. The fit/finish of one of the side supports near the front of the armrest makes the support bow out a little making the armrest unlevel and the armrest moves quite a bit when you put your arm on it. There are several other fit/finish items that make this seem likely a poorly constructed item. I will be returning this item.
I am so happy and impressed with the quality of these chairs. Very easy to assemble only took a couple of minutes. They are very comfortable sitting and look beautiful. Excellent choice and value
