Good chair for a good price

I ordered this chair for my lovely girlfriend, so she can sit on the back deck while she smokes. She is very petite and this chair is perfect, she loves it! Now, the chair is not designed for big boys like myself or people over 6 or hitting 300lbs, that is OK for my purposes. The chair is DYI with great instructions provided with minimum tools needed to assemble and shouldnt take too long. I took off one star because some of the pieces did not have a number stamp, or the number was not fully applied to the piece. One thing I can say about this piece is that the predrilled holes lined up perfectly IF you follow the directions. So please follow the instructions! At the beginning, my father came out and I thought who needs stinking instructions! My old man didnt believe real men needed instructions! Wellthey make life way easier with this chair. I cannot stress enough how great it was to have the predrilled holes align so perfectly for each screw or bolt. I highly recommend and will purchase another one (for my kid) in the further!

    Adriondack chair

Well made unit. It just needs more vertical support on the front legs, which are an integral part of the folding system.

Very nicebut there are things I would tell you to make it easier.

I bought two of them. Assembled them over 2 nights. Average time 2 hours each time. A. Opening the Box The box is only 20 pounds. Instructions are on top. If you can assemble things, you can do this. Good Instructions are organized and lays out the parts for you. Bad The parts are organized to fit in the box; not ease of assembly. So when you remove the parts, you need to identify the parts and place them on the floor the way the instructions organize them so you can use them easily. Bad The parts are labeled by rubber stamp marks. But you have to examine the parts closely to find the marks (or identify them by the photo. The marks are inconsistent (some small, some very lightly imprinted) on the wood; and not so obvious. So, stage 1 of organizing the parts (get plastic trays for the screws (3)) and laying out all of the parts, by shape, and markings took 2030 min. Assembly: Good Instructions are pretty clear which parts to attach and which screws to use. Recommendation that you use an electric screwdriver (there are over 70 screws). Recommendation you have a medium size phillips and a wrench for the bolts for assembly later on. Bad In screwing parts together, theres a predrilled hole for the screw on the top piece; but the receiving board has a slight screw mark where its not always easy to find. I had to look closely to figure out where to line up the screw points or to feel where the drill/screw point was on the second piece. It wasnt always obvious. Final Analysis: 1. They look good. But the wood is soft and scratches easily. Lightly stained. So I plan to finish it with some waterproof stains. 2. Solidness Pretty good for a midsized man. Comfortable. But I wouldnt stand on it. 3. Touches I would recommend putting rubber pads on the bottom pieces. I have a concrete/pebble garden so, the chairs wont sit smoothly on the ground, and it shifts a bit; scratching the bottom wood pieces. 4. Durability If this were polyvinyl, Id throw it around. But because its a soft wood, Id treat it gently, sit nicely in it. Its comfortable. And is quite nice looking. I expect it to last a few years, but not lifetime. Id expect to tune it up every few years for the screws and bolts so it wont fall apart on me. Im happy about the price. Assembly was entertaining. Overall, very nice. I guess A. I rate the instructions good. You need to understand the illustrations on how to put it together. What I would And the instructions group the parts together by their part number. So I organized my floor with the parts to match the parts map they provide on the 2nd page. B. The primary step is that the parts are all placed into the box to fit the box. So the pieces fit nicely, but they come out in a difference sequence
