This bunk was relatively easy to put together but it is a 2 person job and took us about an hour to complete (hubby is a handyman). As stated in other reviews, the wood underneath the top bunk is rough and could potentially be a safety hard, so we took 2 gently used yoga mats and stapled the foam to the exposed supports. we did the same with the remaining pieces and wrapped them around the ladder steps so that little feet can grip better. I used 2 pieces of plywood for bed supports so the mattresses didnt sit too high.
The box did arrive pretty beat up but all the pieces were there and nothing was broken so it was fine.
Overall, very happy with this purchase.
Love this bed. Very easy to put together. Only 2 things that are issues. One of the pieces on the full sized headboard that supports the top bunk has a long crack. Also, the top bunk mattress falls between the slats. I have to go to the hardware store to buy some additional wood pieces to secure the top bottom parts of the mattress.
The bed is very nice, but it did have some imperfections as pictured with the cracks. There was also a hole that was not completely drilled all the way and required additional drilling to fix it. Other than these issues Im pleased with the outcome of this product.
Kids love it its a perfect size and very sturdy but make sure to get a coil spring mattress!! I bought a non could spring mattress with it and it sinks in!
