Not enough padding, lumpy. When lying flat, lumbar support does not feel right. Supposed to be for a 6-foot. person, feet hang off rest at least 12 inches. Definitely would not recommend.
My husband had polio as a child and now has issues with Post-Polio syndrome. He is unable to sleep in a bed but sleeps in a recliner. He cannot walk but a few steps and uses a scooter all the time. He has great difficulty getting out of a chair. I got this chair for him in December of 2021. By March, he was having problems with his legs and feet swelling -- the foot rest wasnt rising to the full height, only partially. This left his legs hanging low. A repairman determined that the brace/riser was broken and the cost, $160 to repair. Im very disappointed in this. He is not a large man and doesnt put any unusual pressure on the foot rest. It should have lasted longer than a few months.
Update as of July 20, 2022: Wow! Customer Service from this company contacted me very quickly after this review posted. They offered to pay for the repair of the chair (which we are doing) and to have a pillow made that will lift my husbands feet and legs up even higher. They have emailed and phoned to keep me updated on their progress in correcting our issue. So, I will give this company an A+ for working to make this chair right and work for us. Im changing the stars to 3 and will further update this review when everything is working. I am VERY impressed with their conscientiousness.

THE INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT SAY ANYTHING TO WHERE THE EXTRA PARTS WERE. I FINALLY FOUND THEM UP UNDER THE BASE. I GUESS DUREING SHIPPING THEY GOT MOVED. GOOD THING I HAVE LITTLE HANDS AND ARMS TO REACH UP IN THERE TO GET THEM OUT, WHERE I COULD CONNECT THEM. AFTER ALL THAT. IT WORKED AS THEY SAID IT WOULD. SITS VERY NICE. I AM THINGING OF GETTING ANOTHER ONE. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE IT ALL, BUT I ALSO HAD TO TAKE BREAKES IN BETWEEN. I WILL UP DATE ON THE LOOSE ARMS, AFTER I TALK TO THE SHIPPER.
purchased to convalesce from broken ribs. Cant sleep in bed. this is a great chair for watching tv etc but if you are looking for a chair you could sleep in. This one doesnt really sleep well. Assembled easily and delivery all went well. We are keeping it. We found another chair at an estate sale that is more comfortable for over night.

The product works it just is not as smooth or quiet . The lowering cylinder makes a ratchet t sound when lowering. It is aggravating

Hard to please Mother
My mom is very hard to please, but she loves the chair. Very easy to use for my 82 year old mom. I also love the chair.
